Dogs left at home alone often suffer from clinical separation anxiety. They haven't a clue when you are coming back. Once that front door is shut you could be gone forever. End Result - nervous anxiety.
Up to a million dogs in Britain suffer this distressing disorder which sees them behaving badly. Incessant barking, destruction, soiling and excessive salivation are all signs of anxiety brought on by absentee pet owners.
My aim here at PAWS is to provide a service to help alleviate the stress caused to these otherwise much loved and cared for pets, and indeed to relieve the pressure on the hard-working, busy owners of such animals, who in truth would love the opportunity of a 3 mile jaunt each day with their enthusiastic hound, but alas time and workload does not always permit.
Likewise cats will often times prefer the safe and secure familiarity of their own home (as opposed to the unfamiliarity of a cattery) even though their much loved family has 'disappeared' for a few days. I can provide affection and reassurance as well as their usual dietary needs and requirements - making their short separation from their loved ones as pain free as possible.
My service aims to take away the pressure from pet and owner alike in a caring and considerate manner, always with the emphasis on your pet's well-being.
